This trek start from the trail ahead Jiri following the Everest trail until Bhandar and then we trek right side of the valley through beautiful settlement of Chhetri, Brahmin, Magar and Sherpa. It is a place of irresistible charm which can thoroughly satisfy your thirst for beauty,simplicity and solitude.You will be trekking scenic ridge trails, camping in the alpine forests, visiting the mystical monasteries, meeting the ever-friendly sherpa's in their villages, climbing the snowy mountains where you will see stunning panoramic views of Nepal Himalayas from Annapurna on the west to Kanchenjunga on the east with Mount everest at center stage. This trek is done with camping.
Itinerary:
Day 01. Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.Day
02. Kathmandu to Jiri(6393 ft) Leave the Hotel in 8.30 AM. Drive to Jiri by Land cruiser or bus takes about 5-6 hours. On this day we will camp at Jiri which is small town where the different cast of people are living there. Also the Jiri is one of the center place where mostly people are coming here from Solu, Okhaldungafor shopping and takes the things from here to Namche Bazzar, Salleri and Phaplu as they required.
Day 03. Jiri to Shivalaya(5820 ft) Today all the staffs will be very busy for loading the porters and preparaton everything for our trip. We are going through Tamang and Sherpa villages. We will campat Shivalaya tonight. It will takes 5 hours.
Day 04. Shivalaya to Bhandar (7161 ft) From Shivalaya we have to walk up through the villages and many small tea shops and by the lunch time we will get at the top of Deurali(8861 ft) and then walk down to Bhandar.( 5-6 hours)
Day 05. Bhandar to Namkhil (7586ft) On this day we will descend 1800ft and cross the Likhu river. After crossing the river walking through the Chetri villages and climb up to Namkhil and camp tonight.
Day 06. Namkhil to Ngaur(10954 ft) We have to climb up most of the time today and passing through the Ghole(the sherpa village). While on the climbing we can see thebeautiful valley and mountain ranges as Gaurishankar, Numbur, Khatang and many other peaks. Day
07. Ngaur/Climb up Pike danda(13300 ft)/trek down to Pike Khop (9191 ft) We have to wake up early this morning and after breakfast hike up to Pike peak with packed lunch. From where we hope to enjoy one of the best panoramic views in all of Nepal: from Annapurna in the west to Kanchenjunga on the eastern border with Sikkim. Over 200 miles of snow-capped peaks will line the northern horizon, with Mount Everest at centre stage. Altogether, if the weather is clear, we hope to see over half of the 14 peaks in the world which rise to 8,000m.
Day 08. Pike Khop to Junbesi(8730 ft) Our trail today descends some parts and climb up to Tumbuk danda and mostly downhill to Junbesi (8730’), one of the more prosperous villages in the Solu District. It is home to a school funded and built by Sir Edmund Hillary, several shops and lodges, and one of the more well-known monasteries in Nepal which produces the wood blocks from which prayer flags and religious texts are printed. You may visit the Gompa, meet with the Lamas, or visit a school and meet the teachers and students.
Day 09. Junbesi to Yak Kharka above singsare la(12400 ft) Today we walk through the sherpa village as Mopung, Edingma and get to the Thupten Chholing monastery which is one of the famous and aswell biggest monastery in solu area. One of the famous re-incarnated Lama"Thulshik Rinpoche" is living most of the time here.The monastery is staffed with 500 monks and Nuns together. After the visit we alimb up to the Camp site.
Day 10. Yak Kharka to Beni (13200 ft) Today we will walk through the ridgeway and walk up 1000 ft to the pass and from where we can see the panromic views of the Himalaya. Overnight we will camp at Beni.
Day 11. Beni to Dudhkunda day hike(15200 ft) This morning we will take a day hike to the Lake on the base of the Numbur and Karelung. Every year in the month of July or August on the Full moon day the big festival is celebrated. It is the holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists people. We will trek dawn to the camp in the same day.
Day 12. Beni to Taksindu(10000 ft) This morning we will walk mostly flat way to Kamo and after that all the way descend to Taksindu.
Day 13. Rest day at Taksindu.
This day we can visit the monastery .
Day 14. Taksindu to Chiwang monastery or Kemje danda. Day
15. Trek to Phaplu. Day
16. Flight out to KathmanduDay
17. Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.Day
18. flight back to home.
