Peak climbing is another adventure activity and prime attractions in Nepal. By the Himalayan standards 33 "Trekking Peaks" are considered minor climbing peaks, under the authority of Nepal Mountaineering Association which is under the tourism policy of nepal to issue the special climbing permits. These mountains nonetheless provide snow and ice climbing opportunities and technically quite challenging one starting from 5500 meter to 6654 meters high which is can be combined with trekking together. Neither is technically difficult, although trekkers must be well acclimatized to successfully climb them. For the first time visitor to Nepal, these peaks can offer an inexpensive and informal way to experience the challenges of high altitude. Some routes on the "Trekking Peaks" are relatively easy, requiring little or no technical experience or equipment. Others can offer difficult climbing on snow, ice, and rock. Travel High Solu P(Ltd) is government authorized local Adventure Travel Company and general member of Nepal mountaineering association organizes peak climbing activities in Nepal. Grading System of the Trekking Peaks:
Himalayan climbs do not easily fit into normal grading systems because the major difficulties are often not so much technical as those associated with acclimatization; high altitude or large vertical intervals(the difference in height between base camp and summit). That said it has become most common to use the french alpine grading system.
F Easy scree orshort slopes up to 30 degree
PD Scrambling ground, slopes of 40 degree.
AD Some pitched climbing or rock, snow/ice 45-50 degree.
D Sustained pitched climbing on rock, ice up to 50-60 degree.
TD Derious technical climbing, vertical ice.
ED1 Expect sustained vertical or overhanging sections
ED2 The ED series is open ended, and gets harder with each generation
