► Equipment of Trekking
Travel High Solu can provide all necessary equipment for your trek, including tents, down sleeping bags and jackets etc., if necessary. You are welcome to use your own equipment if it meets our standards. Often, excellent equipment can be obtained in Kathmandu prior to your trek or climb. Contact us for availability and price.
During your trek, you'll be packing your personal gear and clothing in either a sturdy duffel bag that the porters will carry or your personal daypack. Your duffel bag shouldn't exceed 40 lbs. Your daypack, in which you'll carry warm layers, shell gear, sunscreen, camera, water bottles, snacks, etc., should be roomy and well fitting. Your clothing should fit well in a loose, comfortable, layered system.

• Photos, Immunization records, etc. in a secure, concealable passport case.

• Duffel bag, 7,500 cubic inches, or 16x13x36 inches approx. This bag should be very sturdy and water resistant. If it has a zipper, it should be covered with a fabric flap for protection and have straps to relieve pressure on the zipper. Bring some heavy-duty trash bags to double bag the duffel contents. Another option is to use a large river type dry bag, which although somewhat more difficult to pack, provides ultimate protection.
